Dr. David Dao OD

Optometrist

Dr. Dao received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in pre-med before obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2003.

Dr. Dao views his practice as an extension of his family and focuses on providing personable, quality care. He diligently serves his patients with a hard-work ethic, commitment to excellence, and dedication to life-long continuing education and learning.

What Dr. Dao enjoys most about Clear Vision Eye Care is getting to work with such a great team and having patients who feel like family. When he isn’t working, Dr. Dao enjoys reading, working out, traveling, watching movies, and spending time with his family.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Get the results you deserve with this quality service, and at an affordable price too! At Clear Vision Eye Care, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Yearly routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed during your eye exam visit. By diagnosing eye and vision conditions early on, our optometrist is able to provide treatment options and, in many cases, restore vision or prevent vision loss. The American Optometric Association (AOA) now recommends that adults between the ages of 18 to 64 get an in-person eye and vision exam every year, regardless of their eye health.

Contact Lens Prescriptions

Do you need vision correction but don’t want to wear eyeglasses full-time? Contact lenses are a great option for almost anyone. We offer a wide selection at our Northshore office, and our experienced optometrists can help you find the right contacts for you. Our contact lenses are stocked in the office so that you can take your trial contacts home the same day! Medical Eye Care

When you experience an eye injury or need immediate eye care, you can count on Clear Vision Eye Care, located in Northshore, for the best in emergency eye care. Our therapeutic optometrists offer same-day appointments in order to address your eye problem as soon as possible. Common eye emergencies include: eye pain, welding metal stuck in your eye, scratched eye, chemical exposure, burning eye, severe red eye, eye discharge, stye, and floaters.

Pediatric eye exams

Pediatric eye care is an incredibly important part of a child's overall health. Unlike adults, it can be difficult for children to communicate their eye health issues to adults or even realize they have a vision disorder. It's important they receive help from our pediatric eye doctor if they have one. If your child has blurry vision, he may struggle to do his schoolwork. Things like seeing the board or reading may be impacted if he does not have vision correction. Regular eye exams can help you find and manage eye conditions early and make them an important part of your child’s education. We offer eye exams for children over the age of 2. Medicaid and CHIP accepted.

Glaucoma Screening & Treatment

Did you know that glaucoma can slowly cause complete blindness with no pain or outward symptoms? Our doctor screens for glaucoma on every patient.
